Day 4: Project BeVegetarian

Today was good! I successfully avoided dairy entirely for one of my meals, and yes I consider this an improvement. Today was also interesting because I had two separate cravings, one at about mid-day for a chicago style hot dog (which still sounds delicious.. i’m going to need to look into veggie dogs), and one for alaskan king crab at about 7pm. I think the crab craving was mostly just because I was hungry, and someone in the office was eating some sort of delicious smelling fish, oh well.

I remembered to take my multi-vitamin this morning, so things are already looking better. I can see myself starting to lose weight too.. schwing!

Today’s Eats.

Breakfast: Bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch (the last of it. *sadface ), and milk. (I really need to find some soy milk); and a medium coffee with two shots of espresso and one packet of raw sugar (mmm delicious.. i love coffeepod in provo!)

Lunch: Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich, String Cheese, and Fresca.

Dinner: 6″ Veggie Delight with no cheese on honey oat. That tasted pretty good, I was actually pretty surprised. It had:  Lettuce, red onions, banana peppers, cucumbers, jalepenos, and deli mustard. I also had water with this meal.

The veggie delight left me hungry 2 hrs later, so i had to have 2nd dinner: 1 small bowl of instant oatmeal (2 packets), of cinnamon/spice. with water to drink.

I also had some cheez-its when i got home, which I found out do NOT contain animal lard. The only animal product there is the cheese.

Day 3: Project BeVegetarian

This really hasn’t been too hard.. then again it’s too early to tell, i’m just wrapping up day three. One of the major benefits I’m starting to see is that I am forced to make a conscious decision about what I eat, once I start thinking about it, I make better choices.

Todays Eats:

Breakfast: A bowl of cinnamon toast crunch with dairy milk (i haven’t been to the store yet to get some soy milk), and coffee with two shots of espresso, a dash of cream and some raw sugar.

i'm not eating you! :D

Lunch: Small Peanut-butter and jelly sandwich, string cheese, and fresca.

Dinner: Bowl of easy-mac, and water.

I also had some cheez-its later on in the day. Man, this would be REALLY hard to do if I was also giving up all things dairy. I had dairy in every single one of my meals today. That is gong to be tough to cut if the time comes.

I have been meaning to get back on my multi-vitamin, but my morning routine as far as eating goes is usually second nature. I’m going to try hard to remember that tomorrow though. As far as ‘how I feel’ goes, I feel pretty good, but I can’t say that I feel significantly better than when I was eating meat. Are you even supposed to feel better after you stop eating meat? I guess we’ll see.
